As Director of Acquisitions, Juan Carlos Barillas, spearheads the meticulous and highly selective property acquisitions process for NAS Investment Solutions. Mr. Barillas is responsible for sourcing potential property acquisitions and ensuring that each meets NAS’ stringent standards for a quality real estate investment.
Mr. Barillas has over 20 years of commercial real estate development, management, marketing and sales experience in the hospitality industry. He is an innovative, results oriented executive whose most recent professional experience includes serving as Chief Operating Officer at Orlando-based, Exploria Resorts, a diversified hospitality, development, and management company with a portfolio of resorts and hotels throughout Florida, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and Missouri. While at Exploria, Juan Carlos lead a team that transformed a $45 million operation into a $180 million sales enterprise through a comprehensive approach that included a complete overhaul of image, introducing technology, updated processes, physical renovations, and implementing effective marketing strategies.
Mr. Barillas’ previous experience also includes key management and sales positions in the hospitality industry. They include, Vice President of Sales and Marketing with Club Melia By Melia Hotels International and Vice President of Sales and Marketing with Summer Bay Resorts.
Mr. Barillas is prominently active within the hospitality industry where he has served as keynote speaker at the Latin American Shared Ownership Summit and speaker at the Global Networking Experience (GNEX) Conference. He was a 2008 finalist for the American Resort Development Association’s, ARDY Award as Sales Management Executive.
Juan Carlos Barillas graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geological Engineering and is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Florida.
