A Southern California native, Shirlee began her career in the real estate industry in 1984. She has remained focused on the areas of leasing, asset management and community relations working with a wide range of tenants and ownership entities, including syndicators, institutional lenders, developers, regional and national retailers, Fortune 500 companies, municipalities, and specialty resorts.
After successfully completing the Institute of Real Estate Management’s educational and experience requirements in 1990, she earned the title of Certified Property Manager. This designation is highly sought after and difficult to obtain. She is actively involved with the International Council of Shopping Centers, Institute of Real Estate Management, and several local community groups. She served as the 2004 and 2005 Chairman of the Board for the Calabasas Chamber of Commerce.
Shirlee held the position of Vice President for Caruso Affiliated, where she was responsible for the management of six award winning high-end retail resorts. Over a seven-year period she demonstrated her exceptional asset management skills, together with focusing on the extravagant grand openings, developing successful, effective merchandising and management styles for leading edge, high-end retail properties including The Promenade at Westlake, The Commons at Calabasas and The Grove in Los Angeles, California.
As Vice President of NAS and one of the founding executives, Shirlee focuses on developing and implementing business and marketing plans for troubled assets across the Nation. Her keen strategic planning skills and depth of professional resources across broad markets, allows her to provide comprehensive solutions for her clients to contemplate when making critical decisions.
